National Alliance to End Homelessness Opposes Homeless Children and Youth Act

May 15, 2015 This resource explains the negative impacts that the Homeless Children and Youth Act (S.256) would have, and offers alternative approaches to address the problems the bill aims to address. The Alliance opposes the bill, which was introduced by Senator Dianne Feinstein, because it will not solve the housing problems of families and youth, and it would make significant changes to the homeless assistance system that would be unnecessary, burdensome, and harmful.
