It’s finally here! Today marks the official start of the 2014 National Conference on Ending Homelessness. We’re all set for an exciting day here in DC. As we continue to register participants and prepare for the first set of workshops, here are a few examples of all that we have planned for today:

  • The 100,000 Homes Campaign is holding a pre-conference meeting at 9 a.m. in Penn Quarter about their latest campaign, ZERO: 2016. Check it out to learn how they plan to help communities reach zero on chronic and veterans homelessness by the end of 2016.
  • To kick off the conference, Alliance President and CEO Nan Roman will deliver the opening plenary at 1 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom.
  • If you want to learn more about veteran homelessness, an important topic of discussion this year, attend Workshop 1.9: Communities and Veterans Affairs Working Together, which starts at 2 p.m. in Congressional Hall A.
  • You can meet your fellow conference-goers and get to know some of your peers at the Meet and Mingle from 6:15 to 7:45 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom.
