If you are attending our conference in New Orleans, and are a provider of traditional transitional housing that is in the process of converting to new model of service, join us for a “Conversion Conversation” on Wednesday morning, February 19, at 8 a.m.

This will be an informal exchange of ideas with others over breakfast about retooling to new models like rapid re-housing, addressing both internal and external concerns, and keeping the conversion process moving forward.

We know that converting programs to a new model is a journey that can be challenging and that it can be beneficial to hear about the experiences of other people who have been through the transition.

And while you’re at it, on the first day of the conference, Tuesday, February 18, from 4:15 to 5:45 p.m., don’t miss this workshop: 3.4 Retooling Transitional Housing: Steps for Implementing Changes to Your Programs. It’s one of several workshops that touch on the subject of retooling transitional housing.

During that workshop, three providers will share specific steps they took to retool their transitional housing programs. We will also be sharing the “Transitional Housing Retooling Checklist” the Alliance released last summer, which you can download in advance here.

The Wednesday morning “Conversion Conversation” will build on that session by offering an opportunity for providers to share lessons with each other.

So come down early on Wednesday morning to the conference center, grab some coffee and breakfast, and join other providers in the process of transitional housing conversion.

We will be meeting in Napoleon D3 located on the third floor of the conference center from 8 to 8:45 a.m. You will have the opportunity to meet other folks who, like you, want to chat with others to find out how they are navigating the transitional housing conversion journey.
