Washington—The National Alliance to End Homelessness launched a new website, www.endhomelessness.org, today. The updated website is a resource center for policymakers, advocates, service providers, members of the media, and the general public on homelessness policy and issues.
“This new website builds on the Alliance’s continued success helping communities throughout the country end homelessness,” said Nan Roman, President of the National Alliance to End Homelessness. “The information on this website is essential for creating effective plans to end homelessness, to evaluating those plans in action, and to educating policymakers, advocates, service providers, members of the media, and the general public on emerging trends and new research. Through this resource, we are enabling communities to better serve their homeless populations.”
Endhomelessness.org features current research reports by the National Alliance, including Strategies to End Family Homelessness which was released in June in conjunction with Freddie Mac. A new feature to the website is a monthly interview with a leader or expert in homelessness. The first expert featured in this series is Former HUD Secretary and National Alliance board member Henry Cisneros. The website is also home to the Ten Essentials for Ending Homelessness, updates on pending legislation that impacts homeless people, and monthly podcasts that focus on emerging issues in ending homelessness, such as the role of Service Enriched Housing.
The website continues to build on the Alliance’s mission to increase the intellectual capital around solutions to end homelessness; to ensure that policymakers, practitioners, and the caring public have the best information about trends in homelessness demographics, research, and emerging solutions; and to engage the media to report on the issue of homelessness. The website features ten year plans to end homelessness, case studies, resources for service providers, and podcasts, videos, and interviews with leaders and homelessness experts on emerging issues.Washington—The National Alliance to End Homelessness launched a new website, www.endhomelessness.org, today.
