What is Capitol Hill Day?
This event, held in conjunction with the Alliance's annual National Conference on Ending Homelessness, July 13-15, 2011 in Washington, DC, gives participants a chance to meet with their Members of Congress to take part in federal advocacy - a critical component in our work to end homelessness. The meeting goals are to:

  • Establish/build relationships with your Congressional offices;
  • Educate your Senators and Representatives on your success and progress at home; and
  • Encourage them to work in support of policy initiatives to end homelessness.

Hill Day Information
To learn more about Capitol Hill Day 2011, check out the materials below. A State Captain from each state will take the lead on scheduling the congressional meetings for fellow conference participants from their state. If you are interested in participating and don't know who your State Captain is or your state does not yet have a State Captain, contact Amanda Krusemark at akrusemark@naeh.org / 202-942-8256.
