The City of Gainesville / Alachua County 10-Year Plan to End Homelessness is called “GRACE for the Homeless” where GRACE stands for Gainesville Region/Alachua County Empowerment. Published on December 15, 2005, the plan focuses on both short-term and long-term homelessness as well as those at-risk for becoming homeless. Examples of the program’s ten goals include expanding the local inventory of, and access to, affordable housing, increasing access to services through a first entry/one stop center, increasing homelessness awareness among public safety providers and the community, and homelessness prevention through education, job training, and support services.

This audio conference covered the HUD-VA Supportive Housing (HUD-VASH) program.
