The “Clark County 10-Year Homeless Housing Plan” was approved by the Clark County Board of Commissioners on December 20, 2005. Affordable housing is identified in the plan as the primary need for low-income residents of Clark County. Five broad objectives are identified in the plan; each is supported by several strategies and short-term activities. The five broad objectives are: 1) Reduce the number of chronically homeless individuals. 2) Reduce the number of homeless families. 3) Reduce the number of non-chronically homeless individuals. 4) Reduce the number of homeless youth. 5) Conduct adequate data collection and planning to efficiently manage limited resources for homelessness.
