The Alliance hosted the 2009 National Conference on Ending Family Homelessness on February 12-13, 2009 in San Diego, CA.

Among the featured workshops was Responding to Increases in Family Homelessness. This workshop examined recent and past increases in family homelessness that strain the existing shelter system. The workshop also explored how communities are responding to both need and continuing the momentum to end homelessness.
