Join the Alliance's Letter Writing Campaign

November 13, 2014 With the mid-term elections now behind us, members of the 113th Congress have returned to Washington. The Alliance is asking homeless advocates to join our letter-writing campaign to encourage Congress to include a $301 million increase in homeless funding when it finalizes a Fiscal Year 2015 funding bill. You can use these sample letters as templates when sending a letter to your members of Congress urging them to provide 2.406 billion for HUD's McKinney-Vento programs in order to end chronic homelessness by the end of 2016.

May 28, 2014 The State of Homelessness in America 2014 is the fourth in a series of reports that chart progress in ending homelessness in the United States. It examines trends in homelessness between 2012 and 2013, trends in populations at-risk of homelessness from 2011 to 2012, trends in assistance available to persons experiencing homelessness, and establishes a baseline from which to measure changes in the homeless assistance system enacted by the Homeless Emergency Assistance and Rapid Transition to Housing (HEARTH) Act.
