3.7 Partnering to Improve Employment Outcomes
Several federal programs, including Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) and the Workforce Investment Act (WIA), are specifically charged with helping low-income people connect to employment. This workshop will examine innovative partnerships between homelessness service providers and state and local programs to improve the housing and employment outcomes of families and youth. Experts will explain how to navigate requirements for WIA, TANF, and other programs. Presenters from the field will explore engagement strategies and how to develop partnerships with local agencies and educational institutions.
