REMINDER: Senate McKinney Appropriations Letter Dealine, April 22
|
This Thursday, April 22 is the deadline for Senators to add their names to the McKinney Appropriations letter being circulated by Senators Jack Reed (D-RI), Olympia Snowe (R-ME), and Charles Schumer (D-NY). The letter urges the Transportation, Housing, and Urban Development (T-HUD) Appropriations Subcommittee to provide $2.4 billion for HUD's McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Grants program in the FY 2011 Appropriations Bill.
We need your help to get as many Senators as possible to sign the letter by April 22!
What You Can Do:
- Call and email housing staff in your Senators' DC offices. Congressional office phone numbers can be found by calling the U.S. Capitol Switchboard at 202-224-3121.
- Ask Senators to sign the FY 2011 McKinney appropriations sign-on letter by Thursday, April 22.
-

**NOTE: Staff may say that their office has a policy against signing appropriations letters. If so, ask the Senator to send a personal letter to the T-HUD subcommittee in support.
- Report Back responses from Congressional staff to Amanda Krusemark (akrusemark@naeh.org / 202-942-8256).
