Below is an update on last week's Congressional briefing and the House Sign-On Letters for McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Grants appropriations, as well as for Runaway and Homeless Youth Act (RHYA) and Education for Homeless Children and Youth (EHCY) appropriations.

You Can Say: Please thank your boss for his/her commitment to funding HUD's Homeless Assistance Grants program at $2.4 billion in FY 2011, so that we can fully implement the HEARTH Act, which your boss helped reauthorize last year. I would like to invite your boss to visit a homelessness assistance program next time he/she is in the district, to see first-hand how these programs work locally.
