Alliance Publishes Draft Comments on ESG Regulation
Today, the Alliance published a draft version of its comments on the interim regulation for the Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) program. The interim rule went into effect on January 4.The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) will accept comments until February 3. HUD will take public comments into consideration when crafting a final regulation for the ESG program. In its draft comments, the Alliance makes recommendations and provides HUD with feedback regarding key aspects of the interim ESG rule. Additional resources are available at www.endhomelessness.org, including a summary of the ESG rule and recommendations for implementing ESG based on lessons learned from the Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing Program (HPRP).
