On Thursday June 16th, the House Committee on Financial Services released the Section Eight Savings Act of 2011 (SESA). This most recent discussion draft makes several reforms to the Housing Choice Voucher program, which includes and omits favorable amendments from previous discussion drafts known as SEVRA, the Section Eight Voucher Reform Act. Many of the previous and current amendments are vital to providing housing assistance to low-income and homeless families.
