Federal Plan: 2010 - 2015 Count Projections
Interactive Tool | June 21, 2010
In Opening Doors: The Federal Strategic Plan to End Homelessness, the United States Interagency Council on Homelessness sets goals to end chronic homelessness and homelessness among veterans in 5 years and to end homelessness among families in 10 years. This interactive chart illustrates the Alliance's understanding of the the necessary reductions in January point in time counts that correspond to these goals. It assumes that the size of the homeless population as counted in January 2009 reflects the baseline at the time of the plan's release and that progress begins immediately after the release of the plan in summer 2010. This chart was update to reflect estimates included in The State of Homelessness in America.
