Use this sample letter as a guide for contacting your senators and representatives to ask them to submit a programmatic request to their colleagues on the Appropriations Committees in support of a funding level of $1.35 billion for homeless veteran programs within the Department of Veterans Affairs in fiscal year (FY) 2013. You can also use this letter to invite your senator or representative to tour your program or meet with you while he/she is in the district for an upcoming current congressional recess.
