News Alert: HUD and VA Award $72.6 Million for HUD-VASH
The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) announced today the awarding of $72.6 million to public housing agencies through the Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing Program (HUD-VASH). This funding will provide permanent housing and case management for more than 10,000 homeless veterans. This is the first of two rounds of the 2012 HUD-VASH funding. HUD expects to announce the remaining funding by the end of this summer.
