The mission of The Mercer Alliance to End Homelessness is to ensure that every resident of Mercer County has access to permanent, affordable, and safe housing. In order to carry out this mission, the Alliance has created a “Ten-Year plan to End Homelessness.” The plan consists of an ultimate goal, three long-term goals, and five short-term goals with defined action steps. The long term goals include, closing the front door of homelessness or prevention, opening the back door or Housing First, and building a foundation. The five short-term goals are:
