On May 13, 2016 the California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) and the California Department of Social Services (CDSS) held the first in a series or webinars on Rapid Re-Housing (RRH) designed for providers who operate or are interested in operating a RRH program funded through the Calworks Housing Support Program (HSP) or the Emergency Solutions Grants (ESG) Program. The first webinar, Rapid Re-Housing Performance Benchmarks and Program Standards, provides an overview of the new RRH benchmarks and standards published by the National Alliance to End Homelessness (NAEH).
This new guidance, endorsed by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) and Abt Associates, focuses on and highlights the three core components of rapid re-housing, and the most promising practices for building and supporting a successful program.
