Far too many individuals who leave prison become homeless, either immediately after discharge or after intermediate, temporary housing placements. This July 2007 workshop at the National Conference on Ending Homelessness discussed housing models and services that are effective in preventing homelessness and reducing recidivism among individuals leaving prisons. It also reviewed the Second Chance Act, a bill that would provide states with additional reentry resources.
