In 2004, a task force comprised of government and civic leaders, representatives of the business community, housing and service representatives, and consumer representatives was established. This task force focused on specific issues pertaining to new funding and resources, collaboration of existing services and resources, discharge policies and prevention of homelessness. The result of this collaboration was the Spokane Regional 10-Year Plan to End Homelessness in December of 2005.
