Awards Ceremony 2009

The Alliance held its Annual Awards Ceremony on April 2, 2009 at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. This year’s Awards Ceremony brought together over 400 individuals, including service providers, advocates, Congressional staff, formerly homeless people, students, and concerned citizens.

The Alliance honored three incredible individuals for their work in ending homelessness:

• Ms. Maria Cuomo Cole of Help USA
• Mr. Anthony Love of the Coalition for the Homeless of Houston/Harris County
• Dr. Sheila Crowley of the National Low Income Coalition

Two performances by Sweet Honey in the Rock?a> provided moving entertainment, and PBS Senior Correspondent Judy Woodruff served as Mistress of Ceremonies.
