Webinar: Continuum of Care - Veterans Integration

February 26, 2014

2-3 p.m. ET

The Department of Veterans’ Affairs (VA) recently released a NOFA for the Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) program. This NOFA included $300 million in funding to both renew existing grants (Priority 2) and for new grantees (priority 3). There is also additional, one time “surge” funding (priority 1) which will provide an additional $300 million over the next three years to 78 communities.

The applications for this Priority 1 funding must be endorsed by the Continuum of Care (CoC) lead in their community. Each CoC can endorse a maximum of two applications. All applications must be received by 4 p.m. ET on March 14, 2014.

This webinar is designed to inform Continuum of Care leaders about their role in the SSVF NOFA. We will talk about how the priority 1 “surge” funding represents a huge opportunity for the 78 communities it will fund. We will talk about where things are with the national push to end veteran homelessness, go over the NOFA, look at good rapid re-housing models, and look at the final push to house all homeless veterans.
