Policy Focus Areas
The Alliance works to end all homelessness, and our policy work focuses on four key areas: family, youth, veteran, and chronic homelessness.
Chronic Homelessness
Strengthening federal commitment – through an investment in permanent supportive housing programs – can end chronic homelessness.
Families
On any given night, almost 85,000 families are homeless. Rapid re-housing and prevention policies can end family homelessness.
Veterans
The Administration has committed to ending veterans' homelessness, but it will need improved policy to make that goal a reality.
Youth
Though definitive numbers are scarce, the Alliance estimates that there are 50,000 youth sleeping on the streets in the United States.
